Sometimes, poverty forces you to give up your dreams and ambitions, and it is difficult to see your future fading while you are unable to do anything! Mahmoud, 18, graduated high school with a good GPA allowing him join university, but due to the financial hardship of his family, he wasn't able to cover the university fees. He tried to find work letting him earn money to cover the university fees, but he did not find any job due to the bad condition in the Gaza Strip of imposed siege, high unemployment rate and scarcity of jobs. Mahmoud lives with his parents and five siblings in an old house in Gaza City. The eight-member family depend on Benevolent Society for Disabled's financial aid along with other charity to cover their basic daily needs. Mahmoud's father could not work as he suffers from a serious mental disease; he takes daily medications that most of time the family cannot provide its expensive cost. Mahmoud's family can barely cover their food and medicines, so providing Mahmoud's university fees is a far-snitching dream. Benevolent Society for Disabled's permanent financial aid is a considerable help that allows them buy their basic needs including food, fresh water, medicines, clothes and other essentials.
