Abd-Rahim is a blind child living in a ten-member family; five of them are also blind. As blindness exacerbates poverty by limiting employment opportunities, the family live in a very harsh life condition. Abd-Rahim's sight is shaped by his social and economic environment as well as his physical surroundings that are unfortunately very bad. The family depend mainly on Benevolent Society for Disabled's help along with other aids to cover their life basics. Abd-Rahim is one of many children received continuous aid from the Benevolent Society for Disabled that help them stand tall and live decently.
