As highlighted by PCBS, Palestine has a high proportion of people with disabilities compared to its population rate. In the Gaza Strip, around 127,962 individuals suffer from at least one disability, which constitutes 6.8% of the population. They are often likely to be among the poorest members of society. The Benevolent Society for Disabled provides various assistances to people with disabilities, especially children, because of their poor living and bad health condition. As education is one of the most effective ways to break the cycle of discrimination and poverty that children with disabilities often face, The Benevolent Society for Disabled implemented the project of "Supporting Education and Rehabilitation for Children with Learning Difficulties". During this, The Benevolent Society for Disabled contributes to cover the salaries of teachers working in a special school for disabled, this will increase the educational services provided to the students.
